Our aim is to partner with you to provide the best possible outcome for your clients and our shared patients. We want your clients and their pets to have an excellent referral experience, supported by clear communication, collaborative care and timely case updates.

BVRS is situated within the Kippax Veterinary Hospital building but operates as an independent business.

Please complete our referral form so we know who the primary referring practitioner is and can provide the appropriate case information and follow-up communication.

Referral information helps our team understand the patient’s history, previous diagnostics, current concerns and the reason for referral.

Our Referral Services

BVRS provides specialist and advanced referral services for dogs and cats, including specialist surgery (orthopaedic, soft tissue, minimally invasive and neurosurgery), physical therapy and rehabilitation, and advanced imaging/CT support.

Specialist Surgery

Our specialist surgical services include soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery, neurological surgery, oncological surgery, laparoscopic surgery and arthroscopy. We also provide support for procedures such as TPLO, cruciate repair, luxating patella surgery, BOAS surgery, rhinoscopy, laser surgery and ovary-sparing spey where appropriate.

Advanced Imaging

BVRS provides advanced imaging support with access to 128-slice CT. CT imaging may assist with diagnosis, surgical planning, contrast imaging and sentinel lymph node mapping.

Imaging interpretation may involve veterinary-specific radiology support to help guide treatment planning and case management.

Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation

Our physical therapy and rehabilitation service supports post-operative recovery, mobility support for senior pets and musculoskeletal disease therapy. Services may include laser therapy, TENS therapy, manual therapy, cryotherapy and rehabilitation nursing support.

Pets may be referred directly for physical therapy, and our team can help guide the appropriate pathway.
